    What You Get

A customer and tenant friendly report that meets the HHS 1 July 2020 deadline requirements.

This professional and comprehensive report includes a property summary and detailed sections for each category the Healthy Homes Standards covers:

    ➔ Heating
    ➔ Insulation
    ➔ Moisture Ingress and Drainage
    ➔ Ventilation
    ➔ Draught Stopping
➔ Free, documented Smoke Alarm checks to the RTA requirements

Everything you need – the five Healthy Homes requirements as well as smoke alarms. We haven't gone into a full building inspection as this report is designed to go to tenants with a tenancy agreement.

We always keep an eye out for other issues at a property that are not covered by Healthy Homes Standards. However, we leave these out of our report to avoid confusion for you or your tenants.

This is a limited offer and our phones are ringing already, so book in now before appointments run out!

Comprehensive 5 Point Report + Smoke Alarms

    Heating Check
Landlords must provide one or more fixed heaters that can directly heat the main living room to a maintained temperature of at least 18 degrees Celsius.

    Insulation Check
Ceiling and underfloor insulation has been compulsory in all rental homes since 1 July 2019. The healthy homes insulation standard builds on the current regulations and some existing insulation may need to be topped up or replaced.

    Ventilation Check
Rental homes must have openable windows or doors in the living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms. Kitchens and bathrooms must have extractor fans.

    Draft Stopping Check
Landlords must make sure the property doesn’t have unreasonable gaps or holes in walls, ceilings, windows, skylights, floors and doors which cause noticeable draughts. All unused open fireplaces closed off or their chimneys must be blocked to prevent draughts.

    Moisture and Drainage Check
Rental properties must have efficient drainage for the removal of stormwater, surface water and groundwater. Rental properties with an enclosed sub-floor space must have a ground moisture barrier.

    Smoke Alarm Check
Working smoke alarms or detectors are compulsory in all rental homes. New smoke alarms must be photoelectric and have a long battery life, or be hard-wired.
